Choosing anything that you put into
your home is such a personal thing, so first and foremost, we need to gain as much information as we can to help us
create a system and room design based specifically around your requirements.
This initial conversation will either take place with us, as a relaxed face to face meeting in our home, which doubles up as our
custom-built demonstration facility, or if preferred, with you at your property,
which would enable us to look at the room you have in mind.
Whether you are looking for a dedicated home cinema or a more informal media room, the initial stages of
the design process start the same way… We invite you to our state-of-the-art demonstration facilities
where you will be met with the warmest of welcomes, a cracking cup of coffee, and a range of different listening
options for you to explore.
During our initial meeting we will talk through what sort of design you think you might like, how you envisage the room to
look once it’s done, and whether there are any features that must be included during the design process, such as a specific number
of seats, a certain colour scheme you have in mind or a particular orientation of the room for example. In addition,
there may be some features that we could suggest that may be altogether new to you. That’s where our individuality
and design expertise come in to play – we have a wealth of experience creating beautifully designed rooms that deliver
ultimate performance in every way. We don’t work from one blue-print for every project, we approach each new commission
as a totally unique undertaking, allowing time at the beginning, and throughout, to explore everything that is important
to you, enabling us to create a design proposal that incorporates everything you want it to, and – if we’ve succeeded
in our own task – even more than you imagined possible.
Following the initial meeting, a site survey is carried out in order to assess the space you've got in mind. We measure up, evaluate the
suitability of the room, and agree on what sort of installation will work best.
Once those first meetings have taken place, we get started with designing the system... During the design process, we create a carefully
crafted system based specifically on what we’ve learned during our initial meetings and site visits. We take into consideration factors
such as the layout, orientation and dimensions of the room; any specific requirements you may have in terms of design details like the
seating arrangements, screen size or fabric wall designs etc.; and we will carefully select each component to ensure what we’re specifying
offers the best possible performance within its setting.
Once we’ve put the system together, we produce a bespoke proposal document that can include technical drawings and cable schedules
if required, as well as detailed 3d digitally rendered images that accurately represent the unique design we create for your room.
This is an excellent way of enabling you to visualise how the room will look once it’s built. This process also allows for any
alterations or tweaks that might need to be made to the design, offering you the opportunity to have an input throughout these initial stages,
making the finished room design truly your own.

Depending on the kind of room design you decide on, much of the framework for the room can be built off-site
here, in our workshop, which allows us to arrive on site as and when expected, ready to begin building the
room straight away.
Whilst we are incredibly proud to be a small family run business, building luxury cinemas to the most exacting standards takes
time, talent and great care, so we have a team of highly skilled tradesman who we bring to site with us as and when required.
If you have your own tradesman you work with, for example an electrician who’s overseeing your property renovation, we’re happy
to work alongside them too, and can provide technical drawings and cable schedules as and where necessary.
Each build is totally unique, and so the length of time the installation will take to complete is different for each project.
You can rest assured that during the installation process we will be as careful and as conscientious as we would be if we were
working in our own home, making any interruption or inconvenience as minimal as possible.
After the building work has finished and the seating and soft furnishings are in, we conduct a full system and projector calibration
to ensure each element of the cinema performs to the absolute best of its ability. Once this has been done, we’re ready to hand the room over…
Once the installation is finished and the room has been built, we’re ready to hand over the room for you to enjoy.
If you’ve opted for bespoke control software to be part of your room design, whether that be via an iPad or
remote controller, we spend plenty of time running through with you how to use the software, so when it’s time to
sit down for movie night, you know exactly how to use the system right from the get-go.
It doesn’t just stop there though. After we’ve handed the room over and left you in the comfort of your new cinema, we’re still
only a phone call away. We offer all our customers a maintenance contract that allows us to continue to offer exceptional levels
of service once the cinema is in regular use.
We can offer services such as remote login, allowing us to resolve any last minute
issues that might arise with elements of the system that are out of our control, such as a power cut that means the system might
need to be reset. We’re also happy to offer our customers an ongoing service whereby we automatically update your Kaleidescape
movie server with the latest releases each month, if that’s something you opt for during the design stage.
The aftercare package
can be tailored, as are our cinema designs, to each individual customer, allowing us to offer services that are relevant to your
cinema design and any ongoing needs you may have.
