We’re a husband and wife team with two crazy beautiful children who love, love, love watching films. For as many years as we can remember, our Saturday nights have been dedicated to an official Movie Night and there’s usually a matinee performance tucked into the weekend wherever possible, too! We are lucky enough to enjoy the very best the world of home cinema has to offer, and we are truly blessed to also be able to call it our “job”.

We like to think of ourselves as being a bit different to other home cinema companies out there. We are without question, experts within our field; we are passionate, and we are professional and devoted to our work, and we could make use of a dozen other ways to describe ourselves in order to differentiate us from other companies, but actually, our unique selling point - what really sets us apart from the rest, is quite simply, that we have stayed true to our core values and we’re driven to deliver exceptional service to each and every customer, with each and every cinema that we build.

We strive to offer nothing but the very best, with personal service and first-rate hospitality being just as crucial as the actual design and installation process itself. With everything taken care of, starting with a great coffee when you arrive at our tranquil surroundings for an uninterrupted movie-watching demonstration, through to our individually tailored design process and onto a flawless installation, you can rest assured that your experience will be a pure pleasure from beginning to end.

So where did it all start? Jim spent over ten years working as a network engineer, providing him with a knowledge base that translates perfectly into home cinema design and home automation installation. Having that expert technical knowledge together with sound building and construction skills, is an excellent grounding for the future of home cinema, with all modern systems becoming increasingly more reliant on having a solid and robust infrastructure. More recently he spent five years working as a Custom Install Project Manager, overseeing some fabulous projects including dedicated home cinema rooms, multi-room home automation projects, specialist lighting commissions, commercial restaurant audio installations, boutique hotel media rooms, television installation and distribution, and five-star spa audio systems. Managing each project through every stage of the process - right from the initial meeting, through the planning and developing stage, and on to the actual install and final handover - has provided Jim with a wealth of experience that allows him to deliver exceptional results that go above and beyond expectations.

As for me, my background is a little more humble. Coming from a sales and business development background within the hotel industry, hospitality and 5-star service throughout the whole process is my main focus. I want our customers to really enjoy the whole experience, right from the very beginning at that first point of contact, through to when we handover at the very end.

Reluctant to continue having to work within the constraints and limitations of working for larger corporate companies, we made the decision to go it alone and create a company that allowed us the freedom to offer our customers the most superior solutions available, and so, we created Cotswold Home Cinema.

Since creating the company, Jim has dedicated his free time to constantly bettering himself not only for the benefit of the business, but more importantly, for the benefit of our customers, and has successfully completed the Home Acoustic Alliance HAA HT3 Advanced Integrator Pro Level 3 Qualification, making him one of only a handful of cinema designers in the whole of the UK who have achieved this - the highest qualification obtainable. Jim is an active Cedia Member and is Cedia CIT Certified. Jim has also completed the Trinnov Level 1 and Advanced Training Courses at their headquarters in Paris; and he's attended numerous conferences, workshops and cinema training days with a multitude of companies within the industry. Jim is also a Kaleidescape Certified Integrator.
